Top 5 Reasons NOT To Do A Boudoir Session

So you're intrigued by the idea of doing a boudoir session. As fun as it sounds though you still haven't done it. Whatever the excuse is I've likely heard it a million times. Here are the top 5 reasons NOT to do a boudoir session...and why they're absolute bullsh*t

1. I'm single, and I don't have someone to give them to.

This is the number one BULLSH*T excuse I hear, because there is only one person you need to give boudoir photos too, and that is yourself. Even if you're gifting your photos to a spouse or partner, at the end of the day boudoir is an intimate style of photography that women do for themselves. In fact 65% of my clients are single women. I've also never had a client come in and say, "I have no desire to see photos of myself in lingerie and would prefer never to see these photos. They are strictly for him because he's been begging me to do it." Every client I've ever had wants these pictures for themselves, and I guarantee you, in 50 years, the photos won't mean nearly as much to your partner as they do to you. So at the end of the day, the person who will cherish these photos the most will be you.

2. I need to lose weight first.

Boudoir is about fully and completely loving and embracing your beauty and accepting your body for how it is. If you decide you want to lose weight for your health then that's great, and is fully supported. However, the right posing, lighting, and angles are going to showcase your body in a way that leaves you in awe of your beauty. That way your weight loss journey can be focused on health only and not your looks.

3. I need to wait until I can better afford this.

We offer affordable payment plans that fit into nearly any budget, and have had clients from many diverse financial situations work with us. Single moms, public school teachers, etc. We also raise our package prices/booking fee every single year around Black Friday, so if you're looking for the best deal there's no time like the present.

4. I'm not photogenic.

You don't have to be "photogenic". As a professional boudoir photographer who has helped numerous clients with my signature "Selfie Smile", is an expert at posing, angles and lighting (see above) you are in good hands.

5. I don't think I could let a stranger photograph me like that.

By the time your session rolls around, I won't be a stranger. We get to know each other in 2 meetings before your actual boudoir shoot. The first time is during your phone consultation. The second time is during your in-person consultation (or ZOOM if you live outside 60 minutes of Austin). We also have an all female staff for hair and makeup, and assisting.
